They should pay me to sort objects by color and shape and size all day I'd be good at it I'd be so fucking good at it

that's the one part of my supermarket job i'm going to miss getting to sort all the stock neatly onto the shelf so it all lines up nicely and looks neat and is in order of sell-by date it's literally so satisfying and i'm good at it! then again i'm going to be working in a library so hopefully i'll get to carry on doing the same but with books!

one good thing about getting hardly any sleep is that it sort of counters my anxiety bc my body is so busy being really really tired that it doesn’t have much energy left for the irrational anxiety anymore

i have several things today that would have made me really anxious normally especially with how i've been recently but the tiredness is sort of eclipsing everything which is almost useful though i PROBABLY shouldn't use this as a long-term coping mechanism

it can NOT be natural for the weather to be this hot in september. This just feels wrong

i don't know about the rest of the uk or anywhere else but right now where i am there is this sudden massive heatwave?!! and it literally feels like being in a sauna or something. like i've never experienced weather like this except in mainland europe right in the hottest parts of summer and it's so obviously a product of climate change which is really kind of sad because does this mean we're going to gradually lose autumns? :(
